This asynchronous course is designed to increase STEM educator's (K-16) and other stakeholder's self-efficacy in Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) Practices for BIPOC, women, and girls in the STEM classroom. The topics will be introduces utilizing six learning modules: CRT practices, culturally responsive data literacy (CRDL), language (speaking, writing, listening, and reading) support, academic support for rigor, project-based learning (PBL), and DEI in STEM careers. Equity and inclusion in STEM education and careers has historically been a struggle for culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) people around the world. One of the best attributes about STEM is that it helps to solve all kinds of real-world problems. Without more diversity and inclusion in the STEM field, we many not be able to solve many of the world's complex problems because they bring with them different cultures, worldviews, and experiences.
